[Review] Missha M Magic Cushion Moisture

While in my trip to Japan, on my last day in Dotonbori (Osaka), I ran into a seven floor building with a variety of tourist attractions per each floor, from what I recall there was a cosmetic section on the sixth floor.

That's when I happened to fortunately spot out this product, it had a unique packing in plastic with Japanese text surrounding the entire cushion, which was a bit ironic considering it is from South Korea. But, naturally it makes sense because the marketing is towards Japan and anyone who can speak or read Japanese fluently.

At any rate, I noticed it was only about 990 ¥ or $9.90 USD.

Anyways, without further ado. .

Missha M Magic Cushion Moisture SPF 50+ PA+++
Missha Magic Cushion Moisture in shade N21(Light Beige, this is actually the lightest they offer)
Product description: Lightweight adherence, intensive coverage, moisture based cushion, and SPF50+/PA+++

1. Perfect Coverage Micro Cover Pigment helps cover flaws to create a dewy, clear complexion
2. Long-Wearing Smooth Silica Bead Powder helps absorb sweat and sebum for long-lasting wear without a darkening effect, maintaining intact throughout the day.
3. Lightweight Boron Powder helps achieve a smooth and lightweight application without excess makeup buildup.
4. Sleek, dewy finish with Bamboo Water and Baobab Tree Fruit Extract which aids in providing moisture while Witch Hazel Extract helps to soothe the skin throughout wear.

This product is has a very high moisturizing effect (hence the name, lol) and to be honest I don't know how this could possibly be packed with so much moisture, much more than any other cushion I've used to date. The "Magic Moisture" title has definitely earn such a prestigious title in my opinion.

How to apply product: I've always used a spray toner directly onto the puff before transferring product into the cushion, by doing this the puff is a bit wet and provides more moisture. .

Though considering how moisturizing this product happens to be, I really shouldn't because it's an excess amount of moisture.

Anyways, gently submerge the puff onto the cushion and apply onto the face, I personally apply it from the inside to outside of my face.
Classic White mesh puff with Blue lining, stating "Missha" in the middle.
Texture: N21 (Light Beige) shade, dewy (Moisture-filled) sponge that easily transfers onto puff.

Personal experience: While shopping in Japan, I was in a department store shopping and it had a cosmetic section. Among many other items that I purchased, I actually managed to spot this Missha cushion after many circles around the cosmetic area.

After reading it I realized it was the Missha Magic Moisture cushion, I had previously read so many positive reviews with the brand as a whole and recall my luck with its sibling brand, A'PIEU.

At one point my skin was combination (dry + oily + post acne marks), though thankfully with proper skincare it is mainly oily w/ light post marks.

All the products that I purchased in Japan (currently working on all of them to publish) aren't necessarily the most suitable for my oily/post acne skin. Though, my intention is to review all the possible items for your benefit, entertainment and overall enjoyment. Truthfully, I would say over 90% majority of my products reviewed are for that purpose, instead of focusing on products that could target my oily skin and post acne much better.

For example: This cushion offers an intense amount of moisture = oily mess, since my skin is already oily. Additionally, since I have light post acne = excess moisture with oily skin creating future breakouts.

Though I don't mind that if it happens, I know there are many people out there with other 'problem areas/concerns' and this is exactly why over 90%+ of my product reviews are not products to my personal benefit.

This is kind of sidetrack from the product, but I would like to make it known: I'll be fine even if these products don't completely suit my skin type, though I know for many skin care and even make up based products can be very confusing. The purpose of this blog is to help others, I would even be honored to call myself an influencer, though maybe in the future that is a possibility. . I certainly have to continue, though I'm very fortunate to have had so many visitors from around the world support my blog. Thank you, everyone.

Back to my personal experience with this product, I was shocked with how this product performed, immensely moisturizing effect and adheres to the skin with little to no effort. The coverage itself is quite high, though not to a point where it becomes "cake-face" in the slightest. This is the first BB cushion that I've ever used and I was highly impressed, seriously.

Now, perhaps the only downfall to this product is that over about a four hour wear, I do noticed it settling into my lines under my eyes, and even one side (oddly enough, not the other side) of a light fine smile line (fine line) on the left side of my face.

Granted, this is a result of using this product with basic skincare only, no primer or finishing product (spray or powder) and I can say that isn't the worst for sure.

I have light post acne marks on the side of my cheek and they're easily covered with this cushion, however, personally I feel this shade was a little bit too light for my skin tone. . Just a bit.

Product price: 990 ¥ ($9.90 USD)

A closer look at the this highly raved about cushion, reminder that this is in shade N21 or Lightest Beige.

Final thoughts: This is the only BB cushion I've used to date and I can truly say the performance is the reason behind all the raving reviews for this product. Personally, I thought that a CC cream was enough coverage but once you use a BB cushion. . wow, you may not want to go back because the coverage.

If you've got oily skin + post acne, I would advise to avoid this product because it requires quite a lot of effort to keep the excess amount of moisture and oil to bay.

If you've only got oily skin, I would be mindful of the fact that if you used this product, you may experience excess oily (possibly greasy skin), clogged pores and even possibly a breakout or two from the excess moisture provided by this product.

If you've got dry skin only, this is a perfect fit for you! Though, you would want to take the necessary steps to ensure the product doesn't settle to any lines or creases.

This product creates a dewy finish, for those looking for a matte finish, this isn't the product that you would be looking for.
